When Times Get Hard, Call on Jesus
Have you ever felt like the whole world is against you? The people you trusted most turned their backs on you? The people you confined in betrayed you. Your secret conversations with
friends and/or family were made public. It hurts, doesn’t it? But guess what? You are not alone! God’s grace in difficult times will carry you through, and He is with you every step of the way.
Life can be tough, and sometimes, the very person you thought would stand by you is the one who tries to bring you down and shatters that trust. But don’t let that shake your faith! When things go wrong—when you’re feeling sad, overwhelmed, or even scared—there’s one name you can always call: Jesus!
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.” – Psalm 34:17
Jesus Never Fails You
People may fail you. Friends may walk away. But Jesus will never leave you! He is the best friend you could ever have. No matter what you’ve done, if you confess and truly repent, Jesus will forgive you. He won’t keep reminding you of your past mistakes.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9
Unlike humans, Jesus does not hold grudges. He is merciful and loves you, even when you mess up. He is there when you cry, when you feel weak, and when you don’t know what to do.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
Be Careful Who You Trust
Not everyone around you wants the best for you. Some people pretend to care; deep down, they sadly, deep down, they have ulterior motives and may be trying to hurt you. That’s why it’s important to pray for wisdom and DISCERNMENT—and choose your friends wisely and carefully. But always remember, God’s grace in difficult times will guide your heart toward those who truly support you.
“Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.'” – 1 Corinthians 15:33
There are people in this world who will prey on your innocence—don’t let them intimidate or belittle you. You are stronger than you think! There is greatness inside of you, placed there by God. You need to let God take control of your life and bring out what is inside of you. Jesus knows who you are—He created you with a purpose, and He will guide you through your journey.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” – Psalm 27:1
Jesus Forgave Those Who Crucified Him—So Should We
One of the greatest examples of grace is when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Imagine the pain, the betrayal, the suffering. The people mocked Him, spat on Him, and tortured Him. Yet, in His final moments, He didn’t curse them—He prayed for them!
“Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.'” – Luke 23:34
If Jesus could forgive the very people who crucified Him, who are we to hold grudges? Sometimes, we allow bitterness to take root in our hearts because of how others have treated us. But Jesus teaches us a different way—the way of love and forgiveness.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13

Stop Judging and Start Loving
Let’s be honest—sometimes we are quick to point out the faults in others while ignoring our own. But the truth is, none of us are perfect. Only Jesus is! Instead of judging, we should show grace and help one another grow in faith. As believers, God put us in a community to lift each other up. Let’s follow Jesus’ example. We need to help each person get back on the right track and not push him/her into the world.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” – Luke 6:37
If Jesus forgave the very people who nailed Him to the cross, who are we to hold grudges? It’s time to reflect His love in our actions.
God’s Grace is Bigger Than Your Mistakes
No matter how far away you feel from God, He is always waiting for you with open arms. When you fall, get back up. When you sin, repent and turn back to Him. He won’t give up on you, so don’t give up on yourself! God’s grace in difficult times is bigger than your mistakes.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Trust God and Keep Going
Finally, life may not always be easy, and people may hurt you, but God is faithful, forgiving, and loving. Trust Him. Lean on Him. And when things get hard, call on Jesus. He will never leave you, and His grace will carry you through.
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
